Step Into the Nativity

The Nativity scene is more than a visual representation of God coming to earth. It's also an invitation to immerse yourself in the mysteries of heaven. “Divine Intervention” leads you on a 30-day Advent journey through God's plan to save humanity. From the hay on the manger floor to the star in the heavens above, see how masterfully the Creator of the universe uses elements of his creation to draw you back to himself then, now, and forevermore.

Life Teen Advent Companions are compact daily devotionals written for teens and adults to help keep the light of Christ burning strong in our hearts at the start of a new liturgical year. “Divine Intervention” is a Life Teen Advent Companion created to help us “enter” the Nativity scene for 30 days, drawn into the mystery of how God intervened then at the Incarnation, now in our own lives, and will continue to intervene the more we let ourselves behold the wonder of God working for our salvation.

Using This Book

Daily: Begin and end these 30 consecutive days of encounter at any point during the Advent and Christmas seasons. You could start reading on the First Sunday of Advent, or perhaps on December 1st, or exactly 29 days before Christmas Day.

Thematically: Each entry focuses on some person, object, aspect, or creature within the Nativity! Spend a few minutes each day reflecting on and incorporating one concrete element of God’s divine intervention into your routine.

Practically: Meditate on a line from Scripture, then discover a new suggestion each day to apply that biblical message to your everyday experiences and relationships, be it a mini activity, a challenge, or a prayer for the season
